Brief.
Making Waves is the annual conference hosted by WIFT-AT (Women in Film and Television Atlantic Canada), celebrating women and gender-diverse professionals in the screen industry. In its 15th year, WIFT-AT saw the milestone as an opportunity to rebrand the event, creating a refreshed, enduring identity that could evolve with each year’s theme while maintaining a cohesive connection to its community.

Design Approach.
I led the visual rebrand through collaborative workshops with WIFT-AT’s board and communications team, translating themes of unity, momentum, and progress into the design. The chosen concept, Rising Currents, uses gradient waves as a flexible visual system that adapts annually while retaining recognisable continuity. The rebrand revitalised the conference’s visual presence across print and digital platforms, improving brand consistency and reinforcing WIFT-AT’s role as a driving force for creative equity in Atlantic Canada.
