Brief.
North Homard is a short comedy produced through FilmPEI’s Film4Ward program, set in a fictional coastal town on Prince Edward Island. The fi lm needed a distinctive visual world that balanced absurd humour with small town charm, grounded enough to feel real, yet eccentric enough to carry the story’s tone.
Design Approach.
I collaborated closely with the director, producers, and art team to establish a cohesive visual language across sets, props, and colour palettes. From sourcing and crafting props to designing environmental graphics, every element was chosen to support the comedic rhythm and coastal sensibility of the narrative. The final production design unified tone, texture, and storytelling, bringing the fi lm’s quirky world to life in a believable and memorable way.
